Luis Ángel Chab Dzul

Violist

He was born in Campeche, Mexico.

 

He began his musical studies in his hometown in the youth orchestra programs, completed his studies at the Higher School of Music of INBA, in Mexico City, and has a Bachelor of Music from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas.

 

His main professors have been Russel Montañéz, Thalía Pinete, Pablo Martínez, Francisco Silva, Mara Lioba, María Vdovina and Ríe Watanabe.

 

In his musical studies he has received masterclasses with professors Jorge Sutil, Viera Borisova, Natalia Gvozdetskaya, Tatiana Kotcherguina.

 

Within his professional experience he has been a member of the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra, the Zacatecas Chamber Orchestra and the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2020 he organized and managed the Ier. International Music Colloquium, "Homage to Gerónimo Baqueiro Foster" for the Secretary of Culture of the State of Campeche.

He is currently completing his Master of Music studies at the Chiapas University of Sciences and Arts and is a founding member of the Mexican Viola Society.
